CONTROL IS AN ILLUSION trailer

'the public shelter project' is an effort to construct movable shelters for people in transition in Reno, Nevada and beyond. They are installed in public spaces to be used freely, much like a city bike rack or a park bench.

The wedge shelter was inspired by the childhood memories of pinewood derby race cars, snow-sleds and tree forts.

The bivouac shelter was inspired by the bivouac picnic shelters that are found around Pyramid Lake, Nevada. The simple and effective structures achieve suitable coverage with as little material as possible.

The A frame shelter was inspired by the classic A-frame houses found around Lake Tahoe and the Sierra Nevada mountains.
